Your wilderness journey in Botswana starts at the authentic Savute Safari Lodge. The lodge has 12 luxury safari suites, ideal for the hot and dry conditions. Part of the magnificent Savute eco system renowned for its large concentration of Elephant and large Lion prides.
Xugana Island Lodge with its 8 large raised reed and thatch chalets is the perfect place for some adventure in Botswana. The swimming pool, located amongst the mature gardens located in the center of the island is ideal for relaxation and peace.

Days 1 & 2: Savute Safari Lodge, Chobe National Park, BotswanaDeparting from Maun: On arrival at Maun Airport you will be met by our safari representative and assisted onto your charter flight to Savute Safari Lodge.
Departing from Victoria Falls: On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport our safari representative will meet you for your road transfer to Kasane Airport, where you will be assisted onto your charter flight to Savute Safari Lodge. |

Enjoy 2 nights at Savute Safari Lodge, situated on the banks of the now dry Savute channel, part of the dynamic Savute eco system renowned for its large concentration of elephant and large lion prides, on a fully inclusive basis.
Savute Safari Lodge comprises of 12 twin-bedded luxury wood, thatch and glass safari suites, ideal for the hot and dry conditions. Double volume suites with their spacious interior and large, glass sliding doors sets the lodge apart from typical safari accommodation. Large private viewing decks and en-suite facilities, with walk in showers combine to make Savute Safari Lodge an unforgettable experience.

Other facilities include a lounge, library and cocktail bar, which is situated in the exquisite thatch and timber main building, while in front there is a viewing deck ideal for watching game at the water hole. The lodge houses the dining room in a separate building, which can double up as a conference room sitting up to twenty delegates. The lodge also has a swimming pool on a raised wooden teak deck overlooking the channel, affording guests to watch game while swimming! |

Dry season game viewing concentrates around Savute's resident bull Elephants, Antelope and Lion prides. In the evening the sun sets behind flocks of Marabou Storks roosting in the bare trees. A true sight to behold.

The Okavango Delta is home to a great diversity of birds and animals. There is a choice of activities for you to choose from whilst staying at Xugana. These range from boat and mokoro excursions, walks on the surrounding islands as well as fishing trips.

Lions at Savute

Savute is famous for its Lion prides. During the summer months, when there is great movement of zebra herds across the Savute Marsh, lion prides are particularly active in this area.
