This unspoiled wildlife adventure is a timeless and unique experience. You traverse the Okavango Delta in search of game, enjoy drinks while viewing the Elephant herds in Chobe National Park and partake in the activities in the Eastern Caprivi.
Xugana Island Lodge is a rustic island oasis, providing authentic game viewing activities. Camp Moremi is an exclusive, luxury tented camp with East African-style safari tents. Savute Safari Lodge accommodates guests in luxury suites, while offering a memorable game viewing experience.
Chobe Savanna Lodge accommodates guests in stylish thatched chalets, all with private decks, a combined bedroom/lounge area and en-suite bathrooms. Ilala Lodge is a distinguished yet affordable hotel in a gracious and secluded ambiance.

Days 1 & 2: Xugana Island Lodge, BotswanaYou take a flight from Johannesburg International to Maun Airport; from there you are chartered to Xugana Island Lodge. At you Xugana Island Lodge you will receive 2 nights accommodation on a fully inclusive basis.
The lodge accommodates just 16 guests in large raised reed and thatch chalets, situated on the shaded fringe of the island, each with a lagoon view through the lagoon-side vegetation.

Each chalet is twin bedded with en-suite facilities, showers, overhead fans and a private deck. 'His and hers' robes are provided. Mokoro trips in eco-friendly dugout canoes, combined with walking, to surrounding lagoons and islands in the concession give guests the chance to experience a classic Delta safari. Bird-watching opportunities are outstanding, and fishing for Bream and Tiger fish is also offered as an activity on this Botswana safari.

Days 3 & 4: Camp Moremi, BotswanaThere is a boat transfer from Xugana Island Lodge to Camp Moremi, where you will stay for 2 nights on a fully inclusive basis. Camp Moremi accommodates only 22 guests in East African-style safari tents, individually situated on raised teak platforms. Each tent is exquisitely furnished with an African teak wardrobe, luggage rack, dressing table, bedside pedestals and traditional director's chairs.
Colourful woven rugs, designer linen and matching interior blinds complete your African hideaway. 'His and hers' towel robes as well as tea and coffee making facilities are also provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Each tent has its own private bathroom situated adjacent to the tent. Tracking big game on morning and afternoon game drives by open 4x4 safari vehicle, excellent bird-watching, exploring the Xakanaxa Lagoon and surrounding Okavango channels by motorboat.

Days 5 & 6: Savute Safari Lodge, BotswanaYou will be chartered from Camp Moremi to Savute Safari Lodge. You spend 2 nights at Savute Safari Lodge on a fully inclusive basis. Savute Safari Lodge accommodates just 24 people in contemporary furnished twin-bedded luxury suites constructed of wood, thatch and glass, making them ideal for hot and dry conditions.
Double volume suites with their spacious interior and large, glass sliding doors set the lodge apart from typical Southern Africa safari accommodation. Large private viewing decks and en-suite facilities, with showers, 'his and hers' towel robes and tea and coffee making facilities combine to make Savute Safari Lodge an unforgettable experience.

Days 7 & 8: Chobe Savanna Lodge, NamibiaToday you will be doing doing a lot of travelling, to arrive at a safari oasis. You will be chartered from Savute Safari Lodge to Kasane Airport, where you will be transferred to the Kasane Jetty, from which there is a scheduled boat transfer to Chobe Savanna Lodge. You will be luxuriously accommodated at Chobe Savanna Lodge on a fully inclusive basis for 2 nights.
Chobe Savanna Lodge is relaxed and informal, set in a classic African Savanna environment with sweeping vistas surrounding the lodge. The focal point of the lodge is a thatched open sided main building which commands a 270 degree view over the Chobe River and beyond to the Chobe National Park.

Located in the main building is the lounge, dining room and bar areas furnished with African inspired furniture in dark teak woods, perfectly in tune with the environment. The lodge accommodates just 24 guests in stylish thatched chalets, all with private decks, a combined bedroom/lounge area and en-suite bathrooms.
All rooms are furnished in subtle earth tones and dark woods in a contemporary African theme, are air-conditioned and have complimentary mini bars. Facilities include a swimming pool, a gazebo that is ideal for small group lunches and an open boma area (place of eating), on the banks of the Chobe River, where guests are treated to panoramic views and traditional dancing performed by local villagers.

The charm of Chobe Savanna Lodge, with its sweeping views and wide vistas, lies in its beauty, peace and tranquility, far from the 'madding crowds' of large cruise boats and game drive vehicles - the emphasis is on complete relaxation and solace. Unlike other properties, where regimented game activities are prioritized, guests are offered the choice of just taking 'time out' or joining in on one of the many activities offered at the lodge.
Those who wish to explore the Chobe River will not be disappointed. All activities are conducted by resident professional guides, whose intimate knowledge will make for an unforgettable experience. Guests have a choice of boat excursions in small maneuverable boats, ideal for close up encounters with wildlife along the river's edge or cultural village visits.

Depending on the time of year, guests are also offered the opportunity to take canoe excursions along the river. Nature walks and a cultural excursion to one of the surrounding local communities can be done. Here guests can observe the deep-rooted traditional life styles of the people.

Days 9 & 10: Ilala Lodge, ZimbabweYou go on the scheduled boat transfer from Chobe Savanna Lodge to Kasane Jetty; from there you take the scheduled road transfer to Ilala Lodge. You stay at Ilala Lodge for 2 nights on a B&B basis. Ilala Lodge offers distinguished yet affordable accommodation in a gracious and secluded ambiance. The decor evokes a bygone era of adventure and the quest of discovery in Africa.
Ilala Lodge offers 32 rooms - 24 twins, 6 doubles and 2 suites. All rooms have en suite bathroom with separate shower, air-conditioning, overhead fan and satellite TV and are served early morning tea/coffee, fruit basket and homemade biscuits. The rooms are spacious with railway sleeper teak furnishings and patio doors leading onto either open lawn or a balcony where you are afforded a view of the spray of the Falls.

Day 11: DepartToday you leave your Southern Africa safari behind you, taking unforgettable memories back home with you. There will be a scheduled road transfer from Ilala Lodge to Vic Falls Airport, at Vic Falls Airport, you take a flight to Johannesburg International Airport.

Please Note:All charters have been booked on a seat on charter basis. Due to the nature of travel in light aircraft, mainly because of safety and space concerns, baggage is restricted to 12 kilograms (26 pounds), per person. This baggage must be soft sided so to allow for it to be packed properly.
If you do have extra bags or have suitcases heavier than the specified allowance, please advise your travel consultant in advance as soon as the booking is made so that the necessary arrangements can be made for the baggage to be transferred or stored at an additional cost.
